The inspiration for Little Bulb started with a child.
When Sic’s children first moved into their own beds, the fear of the dark was a constant hurdle. We found that a simple, gentle light could work wonders, turning a room of shadows into a space of safety. Sometimes, a child isn’t being 'difficult', they simply need a bit of help to find their footing in one of life’s many 'firsts'.
When we shared this idea with our designers at OFPD, they presented us with a shape that struck a chord immediately—the classic silhouette of a traditional lightbulb. In a world of complex gadgets, we wanted to return to that iconic 'ding!' moment of clarity. It is a simple design that restores a classic shape with modern, intuitive functions.
Intuitive Control
We believe that good design should be understandable without a manual. The entire body of Little Bulb acts as a large, tactile button.
- Press once to turn it on.
- Rotate the bulb to toggle between eight levels of brightness.
- Press again to turn it off.
Whether it is a child learning to navigate the night or an adult looking for a gentle glow, the operation is simple and satisfying.
A Bulb You Can Squeeze
Most lightbulbs are fragile and cold. Little Bulb is likely the first 'bulb' you will ever want to squeeze. Made from food-grade silicone with a special UV-treated finish, the lamp is soft, smooth, and incredibly durable. It is anti-static, dust-resistant, and easy to clean. It isn't just a light, for many children, it becomes a comforting, squeezable companion.
Gentle Support for Every Night
Little Bulb was designed for the whole family. For new mothers, the gentle 2200K warm yellow light is perfect for night-time feeding, providing enough visibility without the harsh glares that disrupt sleep. For adults, it is a sophisticated bedside companion that adds a quiet atmosphere to the evening.
Wireless and Portable
To keep the design seamless and safe, we opted for wireless charging. Simply place Little Bulb on its base to power up. Its portability allows it to travel with you from the bedroom to the hallway, or even on outdoor adventures. With up to 72 hours of battery life on its lowest setting, it is a reliable partner for 'midnight explorations' or even as an emergency light during power outages.

Whether tucked into a nursery or sitting on a modern nightstand, Little Bulb brings a sense of intentionality to the night.
