The Modular Design of the Steady Bed Range

Every family moves through distinct chapters. As children grow, shared rooms become individual spaces, toddler needs evolve into teenage routines, and home layouts shift. Furniture often struggles to keep up with these transitions, ending up replaced long before its materials give out.

When we set out to create the Steady Bed Range to solve this problem, to create a space-efficient bed structure that feels safe, looks clean and adapts as your family grows.

Designed from Real Observation

Good design does not begin with a blank sketch pad or a marketing trend. It begins with genuine insight. Before drawing our first lines, we spent months listening to parents, analyzing daily routines, and observing how children actually move through their bedrooms.

We noticed details that were easily overlooked. For instance, children sleeping on the top bunk rarely have a place to set down a favourite book, a small nightlight, or a pair of glasses before turning off the lights. To solve this, we created a custom felt storage box that fits onto the top bedrail - keeping items within arm's reach without having to climb down.

We also designed with the installer and parent in mind. The Steady Bed consists of nearly 70 components and over 350 pieces of structural hardware. Rather than making four unique vertical posts that require careful sorting, all four corner posts feature symmetrical precision drilling. This means installers cannot mix up front and back posts, and parents can choose or swap the ladder position between the left and right sides at any point.

One Range with Many Configurations

At the heart of the Steady Bed is a modular, four-sided bedrail framework. Designed to evolve through different growth stages, the bed can be reconfigured using modular extensions instead of being replaced.

#1: The Standard Bed

Our foundational single bed features complete 4-sided bedrails. For toddlers making the initial transition out of a crib, the fully enclosed bedrails offer security without the visual confinement of traditional vertical bars. As your child grows more independent, the left and right side rails can be removed one by one, transforming the piece into a 3-sided daybed, and eventually a classic standard bed with just a headboard and footboard.

2: The Low Loft Bed

By pairing the standard bed with our low loft bed extension, the sleeping platform is elevated by a height of 78cm from the ground - keeping your child roughly at chest height for an adult. This makes making the bed and checking in at night manageable. The space underneath transforms into a cozy reading nook, play space, or organized storage zone.

#3: The Loft Bed

Designed for older kids and teens who need extra vertical clearance, the loft bed extension lifts the sleeping platform higher to open up 140 cm of usable height underneath. It creates dedicated room for a study desk, reading corner, storage setup, or even a second bed below - making it possible to transform a compact bedroom into a functional two-storey space.

#4: The Bunk Bed

For shared bedrooms or growing families, we have two bunk bed extensions:

• Classic Bunk Bed (1.2+1.2m): Ideal for siblings sharing a room, maintaining a generous lower clearance of 103.6cm so the lower bed feels open and comfortable rather than claustrophobic.
• Family Bunk Bed (1.2+1.5m): Pairs a single upper bed with a wider double bed below, giving parents or caregivers a comfortable space to co-sleep or care for a child at night.

When the time comes to separate rooms, the bunk beds detach into two standalone beds. Nothing goes to waste.

Built Unshakably Safe

Our key requirement for a loft or bunk bed is absolute structural stability. We named it the Steady Bed Range because we wanted to communicate safety the moment you look at it.
To achieve this level of stability, we engineered the bed frame with deliberate, heavy-duty specifications:

🌲 FSC-Certified Solid Beech Posts: Crafted from solid beech wood measuring 6cm by 6cm thick - compared to standard industry posts that measure under 4 cm.

🔩 Heavy-Duty Hardware: Reinforced with 1.2cm thick steel connecting bolts, exceeding the typical 0.8cm to 1.0cm standard.

🔗 Concealed Metal Dowel Pins: Steel dowels across 9 points distribute weight evenly and reinforce the bedrails.

🪜 Reinforced Ladder Steps: Cut from 2.2cm thick solid beech with anti-slip grooves, bolted securely for a safe climb.

📐 Tri-Sided Cross Bracing: 2cm thick horizontal support beams along three sides prevent frame sway.

Designed to Stay

Children grow fast, but their spaces do not need to be constantly replaced. Our modular Steady Bed Range adapts through different chapters of childhood, from a toddler's first independent sleep to shared sibling rooms and dedicated study spaces.
