Think Out of the Cube
In urban homes, space is often fixed, but a child's needs are not. After more than a year of observation and development, we finalised the Cube Montessori Storage System. The goal was to move away from temporary furniture and create a modular system that adapts as your family grows.

Why Materials Matter
When our lead designer, Asu, first began prototyping the Cube, the initial plan was to use solid wood. However, during the testing phase, the reality of the material became clear.
Asu noted that solid wood is sensitive to the environment. In dry or highly humid climates, solid wood can warp or shift. For a modular system where units must stack with precision, even a small shift makes the pieces difficult to align. To ensure the system remains stable and reliable, we chose to use high-quality PB and MDF boards. These materials do not deform or crack over time. They also meet the F4-star standard, which is one of the world's strictest requirements for formaldehyde emissions. This ensures the furniture is safe for a child's room.

A Modular Range
The Cube system is built around a handful of foundational units. Each is designed to help a child manage their own space:
- Flex Cabinet: A classic grid for open-ended storage.
- Display Bookshelf: This unit faces book covers forward, making it easier for toddlers to choose their own stories.
- Drawer Cabinet: Useful for larger toys; these drawers can be removed and used as standalone play bins.
- Play Cabinet: A semi-open unit that fits our specialised storage boxes.
- Max Cabinets: 3 variations of large modules, designed for flexible and high-capacity storage.
To further customise the setup, accessories like Legs and Wheels can be added to the units to flexibly adapt to the needs of the child.
Tools for Development

Storage is only the beginning. Our designer, Yawen, focused on making the Cube an interactive tool for development. One of the most important additions was the Acrylic Mirror Panel. In the Montessori philosophy, a mirror helps young children develop self-awareness and a sense of identity.

Other accessories, like the Play Shop Stand and the Clothes Rack, add another layer of functionality to the cabinets. A storage unit can become a storefront for creative play or a wardrobe at a child-friendly height.

Safety was the priority in these designs. So we customised our drawers and tracks to include a stop mechanism that can prevent a child from accidentally pulling a drawer out all the way.

Designed to Grow Up, Not Out
The most sustainable choice is furniture that stays relevant. The Cube Montessori Storage System is designed to grow up rather than out. Because the units are modular, they can be stacked vertically to increase storage capacity as your child gets older and their collection of belongings grows.

By allowing the furniture to change its height and configuration, we ensure it remains a practical part of your home through different stages of childhood.
